1.Improved in Flexibility.

What is yoga?

Yoga is an ancient Indian system of exercise,created to unify body and mind. Combining physical postures, breathing and meditation,yoga helps calm and discipline your mind and condition your body. While relaxation and stress relief are the best-known benefits, it's physical benefits are well documented. It's aid flexibility and posture,builds strength and stamina and tones your whole body.

The origins of yoga.

Yoga originated in an ancient India philosophy called vedanta that began around 5,000BC. Many years later,ar arou 2,500 years ago,an Indian sage named Patanjali wrote the yoga sutras - the first practical guide to the practice of yoga Patanjali 'citti - vrtti - nirohdah' which is translated as 'the lassation of the tranings of mind'. Patanjali outline as  being achieved through metod ,such as controlling the breath and holding the body in steady  Poses, Theses technique are know as Hatha yoga.

Do you know Lyenger from your Astanga? There are so many types of yoga on offer theses days,it can be confusing to know which one is best for you, yoga is a perfect from of exercise to practice at home.

1. Hataha yoga.

Hataha yoga mean the physical practice of  yoga. It form the basic of all forms of physical yoga . It usaually means it focus on the basic yoga poses.

2. Lyenger yoga.

Developed by Bxs Lyenger, this form of yoga focusses on correct allignment and puts meticulous details on getting into right positions,slow paced and strict. Many classes use blocks and belts to help you get pose with correct technique.

3. Astanga (Power yoga).

Astanga or power yoga is a rigorous, energetic class consisting of a non - stop series of 50 poses that are practised in order. It links poses to your breathing to help focus your mind and control the flow of energy through your body Astanga is based  on traditional yoga teachings.

4. Bikram (Hot yoga).

Developed about 30 years ago by Bikram Choudhury. This is another physically challenging type of yoga. Classes are held in a room heated to 40 degrees centigrade and participants work their way  through 26 poses which, like Ashtanga, are always performed in same sequence.

5. Vinyasa yoga.

Pronounced vin - yah - sah Vinyasa is the Sanskrit word for 'flow'. Classes consist of fluids, almost dance like sequence. The instructor will teach you to synchronise the flow of pose with your breath and often play music to help chereograph the flow, similarly intanse to Ashtanga,Vinyasa helps build flexibility, strength and stamina, while calming your bearth. It's perfect for athletics under pressure.

6. Sinvanada yoga.

Based on the teachings of swami Sivananda, this style is much spritual practice as exercise . Classes focus on 12 core poses and Sanskrit chanting, breathing practice, meditation, and relaxation. You will  learn all the basic poses and sequence, plus find out about yoga philosophy and the importance of relaxation and a vegetarian diet.

7. Restorative yoga.

This is the relaxation class. Restorative yoga uses bolsters, blankets and block to put you passive poses so your body can enjoy the benifits without having extra any effort, exhausted from a week's work or recoverying from hard workouts, this is the perfect way to relax and restore.
